Sisterhood Update, Janaury 21, 2026:

Dear JCAB Members,

We are thrilled to connect with you as the new Presidents of the JCAB Sisterhood!

First and foremost, we would like to express our most heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our outgoing Sisterhood Presidium, Patricia Rabinowitz and Julie Yusupov, for their outstanding leadership and dedication. Your thoughtful programming, commitment, and care for our community have truly made an impact. You leave very big shoes to fill, and we are deeply grateful for all that you have done.

We are excited to introduce our new Sisterhood Presidium, Rochelle Daniel, Bettina Kramer and Karen Nessim.

We are also pleased to announce the addition of two new roles: Treasurer, Deborah Zimbler and Secretary, Shari Ingerman. Thank you both for graciously stepping up and we wish them the best in their new, important roles.

Continued Sisterhood Programming and Chesed Opportunities

We are excited to share some of the programming and initiatives Sisterhood is planning as well as those we will continue and expand for our community:

  • – Purim is coming! Order your Mishloach Manot HERE:  This beloved tradition continues, with another beautiful and fun theme planned! We are aiming for 100% membership participation – please order yours today if you have not yet done so! Mishloach Manot is our primary fundraiser. All funds raised allow us to provide meaningful programming throughout the year. This year’s Mishloach Manot are being coordinated by Faye Klausner and Patricia Rabinowitz, who are doing a fantastic job as always!
  • – Wednesday MahJong and Canasta games. Our popular weekly games continue, and if there is a greater interest in the summer, we will consider adding Wednesday night games as well. We truly appreciate our Queen of Canasta, Shoshana Pilevsky, stepping up to chair this event.
  • – An evening with Michal Horowitz, author of Abled, a thoughtful conversation on resilience, ability, and perspective, hosted by Faye Klausner, will be held on February 18th.
  • Educational lectures by the brilliant Dr. Julie Stern Joseph continue, usually hosted at the home of our wonderful and generous hostess, Deborah Zimbler. Julie’s next talk will be held on February 23rd at Deborah’s home.

We are also excited to share a sneak peak at additional programming in the works:

  • 1. Challah bake
  • 2. Book review series
  • 3. Celebrity chef cooking class
  • 4. And more!

Behind the scenes, our dedicated committees continue their very important work supporting our shul members by:

  • 1.Welcoming new members
  • 2. Bikur Cholim
  • 3. Arranging rides to medical appointments and other important destinations

Most importantly, remember, this is YOUR Sisterhood! We would love for you to be involved! Please join the Sisterhood’s What’s App group at this link for the most up-to-date information on Sisterhood events: https://chat.whatsapp.com/Ev8yb7AWczJ45m1OB3VtLk

Please reach out to one of us with your ideas and suggestions as well as if you would like to help with any initiatives.

We look forward to an exciting and meaningful year together!

Warm regards,

Rochelle, Bettina and Karen
